As I rode in a car with a friend and we sang along to the radio I remembered the moments I wrote about here.. the transformation continues each day and it is astounding to see how God has changed my heart and humbling to see how he can use me to encourage and build others up through the healing… It’s always worth braving our pain.

Letting go of control and perfectionism can happen in seemingly small ways that can provide an immense amount of freedom and healing. Letting go has come through healing and acceptance of what was and what is. Being able to connect to my past pain, heal, release it and see how I, in my pain hurt others, heal and release that too. I was recently able to experience one of these letting go victories that brought everything together. In the victory I was able to feel immense joy and pain and hand both to God to allow Him to intercede and use it.

Romans 8:26-28 NIV [26] In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. [27] And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit…

  1. Your testimony resonates with me. I relate with everything you shared: the stepping back, fear of letting go, then finding the faith to let go allowing God to intercede and work through the “pray-cries…” This past year-and-a-half was an eye-opening and faith-filled one, with growth in abundance. When we seek God, align our hearts to His will, and cry out as Moses in Ex 33:13ff, and chase after His holiness according to Phil 3:14-15, it just gets better from there. Thank you for sharing your heart!
